Seeing Machines

Date: 5-May-2016

Kalari is rolling out Seeing Machines, real-time driver fatigue, distraction and accident prevention technology, to around 150 of its vehicles.

This proactive technology uses driver sensors inside the vehicle to track the movement of a person’s eyes, face, head, and facial expressions. This information is then used to prevent fatigue and distraction related incidents as the driver will receive immediate in-cab audio and seat vibration alerts if an event is detected.

After trialling this technology in our Iluka fleet, we are now rolling this out to approximately 150 vehicles throughout 2016. Safety is our number one priority and we will continue to be proactive when it comes to identifying hazards and preventing incident before they happen.
