Kalari acquires Bullbuck business in Port Hedland, WA

Kalari Pty Ltd announced the acquisition of the business of Bullbuck Pty Ltd, a specialised contract bulk haulage operator based in Port Hedland, Western Australia.

This acquisition is integral to Kalari’s growth of the specialised bulk logistics service business in the resources sector. It represents a significant event in Kalari’s recent history, adding 40 specialised quad road trains to the fleet and open relationships with new customers.

The Bullbuck business is a highly respected, high-quality operation, built up by the Buckley family over many years. With extensive workshop, accommodation and depot facilities to support a first-class fleet and workforce, it is a premier operation in Port Hedland. The Buckley family’s reputation for quality and professionalism is a legacy Kalari plans to uphold.

The acquisition is consistent with Kalari’s strategy to grow the specialised contracted bulk logistics business in the resources sector. Kalari currently has two operations in WA, Geraldton in the Mid-West and Rockingham south of Perth. The acquisition enables the business to expand into the resource rich region of the North West and provides access to new customers and operations.

The company operates a fleet of 32 quad road trains and ancillary equipment which will be acquired in this transaction. The total road train fleet will be increased to 40 by mid-2014. All employees are invited to transfer to Kalari.
