Introducing the Port Hedland Leadership Team

Date: 8-Aug-2014

On 20 May 2014 a leadership team consisting of seven Kalari team members was established in Port Hedland. The purpose of this site-based team is to take an active part in the consultation process to help review and prioritise health, safety, and environment issues, and to suggest and implement improvements.

The leadership team members were chosen because they represent different parts of the operation and were already showing strong leadership skills. On Tuesday 20 April, we kicked off with a brainstorming session in which we determined how to benefit from the group’s broad skillset.

The leadership team has already been approached with ideas, suggestions, and other valuable feedback. As a result of this, we have already kick-started a variety of projects to help new starters with their orientation program.

The inaugural Health, Safety and Environment Leadership Team (HSELT) is made up of the following Kalari representatives: Robert Staak (Driver), Robert Brewster (Driver), Tony Lowerson (Driver), Steve Nolan (Driver), Stajon Mills (Workshop Leading Hand) and management representatives Daniel Burrows (Regional Manager), Kelly Christensen (HSSE Manager), Darrell Littlewood (Operations Supervisor), Project Sponsor Garry Jakovich (General Manager Western Operations) and Project Executive Sponsor Peter O’Shannessy (Managing Director).
